Van de Voorde violin?

I recently saw a violin with label "Herman Van de Voorde, Violin
Maker".The shop didn't know anything about this violin. Does anyone know
anything about this maker; country, approximate years of manufacture,
etc., or where to find out this information?

I know this is years too late, but in case anyone else is trying to find out about Herman Van de Voorde, I knew him when I was a kid. He had a little shop in San Jose, CA, USA (on Winchester Blvd IIRC). My mom had him restore an old violin for me when I was a kid in 1970. Very nice man. I remember he had palsy and died sometime later in the 70's.

He worked in Cupertino and San Jose in the 60's. He restored a viola for me in 1965. I am looking for anyone with more information as to his status.
